You know when its a New Year....obviously the year number changes. Then of course its the time for everyone to set a New Year's resolution. And finally I think this is when people start a change. It could be to loose those few extra (in my case a lot extra) pounds or it could be to quit smoking. Or it might even be the change in behaviour. This is a picture of my children. Aged 27, 20 & 18 - rarely do you see them in this close proximity to each other without one or two or all three of them yelling, bitching or complaining to the other. This is 2 days before Christmas and they are actually posing for what I feel is the best picture of them ever. They are adults; growing and changing. They are mine. I love them all like nothing other. I love them for various reasons but mostly because they are mine. Amanda is my oldest, David being the boy of the group and Ashley as she is the "baby. I couldn't ask for anything better - as this year was likely one of the best Christmas' I have spent in a long time. There was a full house at the Loitsch's, lots of food and an inside temperature of 84. Thanks to the ever stuffed fireplace, body heat and the oven heat. Friends, family and even an "add on" were in attendance and I wouldn't have changed a thing for the day. This year I will be 50 and it doesn't bother me. But I do want some things different. Drop a few pounds, start journalling and live life to the fullest. One thing I don't want to change - and that is the love I feel for my family.
